The question should not be “how” but “why”. No questions would be solved just as we give an answer by analyzing the surface of the problem. We have to dig deep down and find the roots of it and provide a solution correspondingly. Likewise for this matter, we should first analyze the root of these devastating acts. So, why is this happening? Just because these campaigns educate, encourage and fight for women doesn’t mean it would be over. What’s most of them missing is educating men. These campaigns have missed this crucial point. No one has cared to do it (Although few organization have made an attempt). If men are educated properly don’t you think that there’s even a slight possibility of putting a stop for this problems?
Some men in this world act like gentlemen and another part acts like uncivilized apes. (To be clear that I’m not conflicting any gender nor I will be supporting. The article is only dedicated to the topic). Why is that? It is because of the divergence of education they get. I am not talking about books or degree based education but about the mannerism and social education. But this clearly doesn’t mean that civilized men are born in civilized societies nor are uncivilized men born in corrupted societies. It depends on such individual’s mind’s ability to choose what’s right from wrong. You may call it as Scrupulosity or Morality.
Now since we noticed the root of the problem we should analyze it thoroughly. Why are these men not getting a proper education? We can’t always blame the society even though it is partially involved in the situation. In their childhood despite the society they grow, it is the way they think that is directly involved. Take a child of very civilized, well-educated family. Suppose that he is well disciplined, socialized, respects women and elders. But, there is a possibility of him being corrupted at some point of his life if he lacks mental strength and self-control. If he doesn’t realize who his friends are and chooses corrupted over disciplined, he will surely be influenced by very intimidating acts.Take it the other way. A low cast child being educated and civilized at some point of his life due to the good influence of his surroundings and his perception of the world. The family you are born cannot define who you are nor your academic background. It is your acts that defines yourself. We are born for a reason in this world. No matter what cast, gender, or position you are, you are here for a reason. As lady Gaga says “I’m on the right track, baby I am born this way”.
Since we’ve examined the root of the problem, it’s time to solve it. Now it’s time to ask “How”.Brothers! Society may encourage you to do certain stuff that is known as masculinity acts. Although some of them are good, most of them are inhuman even if you don’t see it that way. Some men don’t treat women as they are supposed to. They tend to condemn them, harm them if necessary and throw away out of borders. They think that it’s very masculine and that men should follow it in order to be a real man. So, how come condemning, hurting, raping and killing became measurements of manhood? Think for a second. If you are a true a human, a true gentlemen would really want your character to be posturized as a corrupted person? Just because you act like a good gentlemen, it doesn’t mean you are trying to be a girl or a neutral as society would tend to say. You are just trying to be a human being.
Margret Thatcher, Queen Victoria had very wise and loving husbands. They helped those women in succeeding their goals without showing-off jealousy or wrath. Some men has this stupidity where they become jealous and wrathful by seeing their wives succeed. Brothers, do we really want this to happen in our life? Suffer in pain with these pointless feeling in your life? Instead of that why not be happy for them and help them? Is it too hard?I have seen and heard there are some societies that treats women as slaves and dogs and the women have adapted to the situation due to the lack of encouragement. Mostly in the eastern countries. All of the religions were founded by males. At least these religions are more than 1500 years old. So why weren’t there any female religious leaders? Or did they really exist but went under the hood due to masculinity influence? 1500 years ago mostly in eastern countries, women were not treated properly. They were stuck in a very small frame and were used as slaves. Sometimes as sex slaves. But some men rose from these corrupted civilizations and did their best on stopping this matter. Greece was a country were all people were treated equally and especially women. Democracy was their life. They were given a proper respect in the society. If you have watched the movie “300’, you may realize it.
Since some women are treated badly, they create gangs or societies on their own, without any help of men. They may act violent at certain times like when people try to bother them and a bit different to the social norm. But when we think about this awkward situation, why do these women act like they are not supposed to be? We have to realize that it’s the consequences of our radical acts that made them different. How violent we had been for them to be that violent? If we hurt someone or say an animal, they strike back only because we started it. If we hadn’t been like that, this would’ve never happened.Another person was Lord Siddhartha who gave a place for women in the Buddhist society which was one of the very first attempts of women rights in the eastern sphere. He and the monk Ananda (Buddha’s associate) fought for women in order to give them a proper place in the society despite the fact that it was a very strict male-dominated society. This is what being a true gentlemen means.
